Over the years, through Hospital Audiences, Inc., Bobby “Guitar” Porembski and City Rhythm have had the pleasure to do many shows for special needs children and their parents throughout the New York City area.  It was truly a joy to see how well the children responded to the music.

After one early morning performance at a school in the Bronx, Bob decided to take it one step further.  Enlisting the aid of his longtime drummer and friend, Dan Goldfedder and a number of students and former students from Mercy College, Bob took the gang into the studio to record the set of music they had been performing for shows with the express purpose of raising awareness and funds for autism.

The result: “One Take, No Rehearsals – A Jam for Autism”, an album of the classic rock & roll that is a faithful recreation of the music performed at many of these special shows.

Special thanks go to Dan Goldfedder and Bryan Gottshall for their dedication to the City Rhythm performances.

To Bryan again and Sam Stauff for their engineering skills in the recording of this album.

To Lee Petrenka, Mike Towndrow and Andrew Coviello for additional music tracking.

To Russell Miller for his wonderful album art.

And finally Steve Ward for his excellent mixing and mastering skills.
